    Vijay has 30 years of experience in advising senior management teams and boards at public and private energy and pharmaceutical companies on many enterprise risks including sensitive compliance, litigation and corporate governance matters. Vijay played a pivotal role in the founding of the South Asian Bar Association of North America, including serving as its second president, and with launching the SABA Foundation. He continues to play an instrumental role in advancing access to justice for the South Asian community and brings this dedication to building SAAJCO.

    Sonjui is an attorney and a leader, bringing significant experience in supporting Asian American communities in the U.S.  She has served on and continues to serve on numerous  nonprofit boards including Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Atlanta, SABA North America, SABA-Georgia, Georgia Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Fox Theater in Atlanta, Cool Girls, Inc., among others.

    She has previously served as an at-large representative on the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia and was awarded the State Bar of Georgia’s Commitment to Equality Award. Ms. Kumar is also a Charter Member of TIE-Atlanta, an organization dedicated to fostering and mentoring entrepreneurship.

    Tejas is a seasoned immigration attorney and long-time SABA leader. He maintains a significant pro bono practice through the National Immigrant Justice Center and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. He is a trusted leader and a natural collaborator and serves on the Boards of the Indo-American Center in Chicago, the South Asian American Policy & Research Institution, and the SABA Foundation.

    Amol Sinha is a nationally recognized civil rights leader who has dedicated his career to advancing racial justice, holding institutions accountable, and promoting and defending rights and liberties.

    As Executive Director of the ACLU of New Jersey (ACLU-NJ), Amol leads a team of dedicated professionals and guides the organization’s innovative integrated advocacy work, utilizing litigation, policy, public education, and strategic communications to build a more equitable society.

    Manar is a civil rights attorney and strategist of 20 years with expertise in technology and social media, free speech, immigration, national security, gender equity, and hate crimes. As an independent consultant, she supports various nonprofits organizations and philanthropic institutions on strategy development, policy analysis, campaign and program design, grantmaking, and research.

    In her previous role, Manar served as Associate General Counsel on the Civil Rights Team at Meta., where she conducted company-wide civil rights reviews with a focus on enhancing protections for marginalized communities and ensuring that the company was moving towards equity on all its platforms. This work included policy, governance, and product analysis, including on the metaverse and AI. Manar launched the company’s inaugural civil rights training which has since been taken by over 50,000 employees and authored the company’s Progress Report on the Civil Right Audit. Prior to joining Meta, Manar was a Senior Legislative and Advocacy Counsel at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) where she worked at the intersection of issues impacting Arab, Black, Iranian, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian communities, including immigration, national security and counterterrorism, white supremacist violence, and hate crimes and bullying. During the Obama Administration, she served as the Deputy Policy Director for Immigration in the White House Domestic Policy Council where she assisted with the development of the President’s strategy for building a 21st century immigration system. She previously served as Policy Director at South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) and she provided assistance to domestic violence survivors through civil and criminal systems at Legal Services of New York City and the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women respectively. 

    Manar received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her B.A. from Wellesley College.
