Table Captain Tools

Thank you for helping build a table for SAAJCO's first fundraiser. We have created two tools you can use for outreach: a Table Captain Card and a Sample Email Template.

TOOL 1

Table Captain Card — Download cards to share by email, text, WhatsApp, or social media. Each card is a simple visual invitation with talking points you can send with a short personal note. Select cards below and click download to save them to your device.

TOOL 2

Sample Email Template — Copy and personalize for your own outreach. We encourage you to add a sentence or two about why you are supporting SAAJCO and why you would like the person to join you. You can attach a downloaded Table Captain Card to your email.

Subject: Join Me at SAAJCO's First Fundraising Dinner

Hi [Name],

I'm reaching out because I'm helping build a table for SAAJCO's first fundraising dinner — Belonging is Our Resistance — on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Grand Bay Hotel in Redwood City.

SAAJCO (South Asian American Justice Collaborative) is the first national nonprofit dedicated to protecting the civil and human rights of the South Asian diaspora through legal advocacy and impact litigation.

[Add a sentence about why you are supporting SAAJCO and why you'd like them to join you.]

I would love for you to join my table. Tables are available at two levels:
• Justice Builders — $10,000 (table for 10, priority placement, recognition in materials)
• Community Defenders — $5,000 (table for 10, recognition in materials)

[Adapt this section based on how you are inviting: sponsoring a table, asking guests to purchase seats, or contributing toward the table.]

You can purchase tickets directly at: https://saajco.org/fundraiser-2026

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd love to have you there.

Warm regards,
[Your Name]

How to build your table. Table Captains may build their tables in different ways. Some may sponsor a table and invite guests. Others may ask guests to purchase seats or contribute toward the table. Please adapt the email template so it reflects how you are inviting people to participate.

Follow-up recommended. After sending your invitation, a short follow-up is often helpful. A quick personal message by email, text, or WhatsApp can make a difference. It often takes more than one follow-up before someone is able to confirm.

Thank you for helping bring people into this work. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
