Anisa Rahim

Legal Director

Anisa Rahim is a public interest attorney and the Legal Director of the South Asian American Justice Collaborative. She previously served as a Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, focusing on Title VI enforcement and national origin discrimination involving law enforcement and state courts. Before joining the DOJ, she served as Vice President and Supervising Attorney of Legal Services of New Jersey’s anti-trafficking initiative and as Chief Counsel of its Language Access Rights Project. She has trained diverse professionals on public interest law and worked with NGOs in India, including as a Project Director at the Human Rights Law Network. She holds degrees from the University of Chicago, Rutgers–Newark, and Temple Law.
