Zahra Billoo is an accomplished civil rights attorney and the Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, San Francisco Bay Area (CAIR-SFBA). With over two decades of experience in advocacy, Zahra is renowned for her work defending the civil liberties of American Muslims and championing social justice causes. Her leadership at CAIR-SFBA has been instrumental in addressing issues of discrimination, Islamophobia, and immigrants’ rights, both locally and nationally. Zahra is a frequent speaker at universities, conferences, and community events, where she engages in dialogue on civil rights, social justice, and the importance of building coalitions across communities. Zahra holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Business as well as Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach.
