Kulmeet (Bob) Galhotra is the sole proprietor at Galhotra Law where he focuses his practice on criminal defense and civil rights law. His extensive knowledge of the judicial system is attributed to his nearly three decades of service as an assistant public defender in Cook County, representing the indigent accused in criminal courts. His tenure included representing minors, parents and adults in felony and homicide cases. Mr. Galhotra is also an adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he has taught criminal procedure and trial advocacy. He serves on ISBA Criminal Justice Section Council and is the First Vice-President of the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and serves as Chair of Continuing Legal Education. He received the Asian American Coalition’s Exemplary Community Service Award in 2020 and 2021.
