Divya is a law student at Santa Clara University and a Bay Area native. She is especially interested in property and immigration law, as both allow her to engage with complex legal systems while making a tangible difference in people’s lives. She is passionate about using her legal training to make a meaningful impact on the world, and she hopes to build a career in property law while continuing to support immigration causes through pro bono work.
Her favorite assignment at SAAJCO was working on cases. Sitting in on intake meetings, engaging directly with clients, and researching legal issues were all deeply rewarding experiences that reminded her of the positive impact legal advocacy can have.
