Chirag Shah has dedicated over 20 years to advancing equity for immigrant and refugee communities in Chicago through community-led education, outreach, and systems navigation. As Program Manager at SAAJCO, he manages the organization’s Resource Line, overseeing community-facing intake, referral coordination, and partnerships that ensure South Asian and immigrant communities can access timely, accurate, and culturally responsive immigration information.
Previously, Chirag led the Community Navigator Program at the Indo-American Center, where he supervised 25 trusted community liaisons providing Know Your Rights education and direct referrals across legal, health, and social service systems. He is recognized for building strong partnerships with community organizations and elected officials and for translating complex policies into practical, accessible support that strengthens trust, dignity, and community power.
